        Obituary
Patricia Kay Gregerson, 72, died April 20th, 2023 in her home after a courageous battle with cancer of the bile duct.

Patricia (known to everyone as Patti) was born in Havre, Montana to Bill and Harriette Steiler. Patti graduated from Havre High School, and eagerly moved to Denver, Colorado for nursing school. She loved her time in nursing school, recounting many tales of the friends she made decades later. Patti found nursing very fulfilling.

Patti eventually made the move to Minneapolis and worked at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Patti was very proud about the work she did and the patients she helped, sharing stories about the “docs” with her family and friends years later. Patti was named Head Nurse of the Post Anesthesia Recovery Room (PACU) and served in that role for four years. While head nurse, she met her lifelong friend Sue Osteen who stayed with her until the end.

In her move to Minneapolis, Patti met the love of her life, Mike (Michael) Gregerson. They were married in 1981, sharing 40 years together. They were blessed with three children, Aaron, David, and Jane. Patti took on the role of “swim mom” to her three children - spending countless hours at swim meets.

Patti was an athlete - playing softball in her early years, tennis, and then eventually finding the second love of her life: golf. Patti spent as much time at the course as she possibly could (the joke was that the only day she couldn’t golf was “men’s day” at the course). She eventually had a handicap of 15. Patti also was a fierce card player, often winning against everyone at cribbage and bridge.

Patti found passion as a seamstress; she made outfits for herself and her family. Patti loved to recount stories of some of her first outfits that didn’t turn out quite as she imagined (often sharing one of Mickey Mouse being upside down on a shirt). There were several Christmas presents that were lovingly made by Patti, and then eventually baby blankets for each of her seven grandchildren. Her grandchildren adored her, especially when she would be a “troll” for them.

Patti is lovingly survived by her three children and their spouses: Aaron (Kacey), David (Caroline), and Jane (Ian), her seven grandchildren: Paul, Eliana, Harriette, Conrad, Isabelle, Frances, and Jimmy; her sister, JoAnn Kagan; her brother, Bob Steiler; and countless friends.

Patti was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother, Brien.

        Blessed be her memory.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM, Friday at the Church of St. Anne, 200 Hamel Rd., Hamel.

        Interment St. Anne’s Cemetery.
